InSight Series 4 Flame Scanner

The InSight Series 4 scanner has numerous adjustment options available. It can be  tuned  either  automatically or manually to achieve the optimum level of sensitivity to the target flame balanced with  superior discrimination of background radiation.

The InSight Series 4 scanner measures the amplitude of the modulations (the flame “flicker”) that  occur  within the targeted flame. The sensor within the scanner measures these amplitudes seen within either the ultraviolet (UV) or infrared (IR) spectral ranges across a wide range of flicker frequency bands. In addition the scanner has a flame relay (FR) that can be related to the sensor signals in logical configurations.

During the scanner set up procedure, the logical operation for the flame relay is selected based on the settings relative to user gain, required (flicker) frequency band and switching thresholds. Refer to commissioning procedure for more details on set up procedures)is selected for the desired sensor.

The current Flame Signal Strength (FS) can be viewed on the scanner display via the main menu. This displayed value is the measure of amplitude within the selected modulation (flicker) frequency band, for example: FS=185 (Flame signal for sensors ranges from 0 to 999)

     The Fireye Phoenix Series 2 type 85UVF/IRF flame scanners are microprocessor based devices utilizing a solid state flame detection sensor. The Phoenix flame scanners incorporate an internal flame relay with automatically set ON/OFF thresholds, thereby eliminating the need for a remote flame amplifier or flame switch.

      Phoenix scanners detect the amplitude of the modulations (the flame “flicker”) that occur within the tar- geted flame, over a wide frequency. During the scanner setup procedure, the amplitudes of the target flame are automatically stored by the flame scanner, together with optimum ON/OFF criteria. The appro- priate sensor gain is automatically selected. Phoenix scanners incorporate full self-diagnostics and elec- tronic self-checking.

    The Phoenix 85UVF/IRF is available in multiple models differentiated by spectral range, levels of hazard- ous area certifications and agency approvals. Refer to Table 1 on page 3 for an overview of model num- bers versus product certifications.

     The Phoenix 85UVF/IRF flame scanner is powered by 24Vdc. Electrical connection is via an 8-pin elec- trical quick-disconnect (QD). An analog 4 to 20mA output of flame strength is standard.

InSight II 95DSS3 Flame Scanner

Mô tả :

The Model 95DISP-1 and 95DISP-1-SS are two-line by sixteen-character alpha-numeric Vacuum- Fluorescent Displays (VFD) with a five-pushbutton keypad. The 95DISP-1 is installed by the user onto the end of the standard scanners. The 95DISP-1-SS is factory installed into the 95DSS3- 1CEXSS and 95DSS3-1CEX-2 scanners.

The Model 95WIDISP-2 is an Infrared Transmitter Module with four LED indicators for use with the 95DSS3 InSight II flame scanner. Once installed, the user then programs the 95DSS3 via a remote 95WIHH-2 Wireless Handheld Commissioning Tool, ordered separately. Refer to bulletin 133-735 for additional details.

The Model 61-7347-1 Blank Cover must be installed to maintain environmental ratings when neither the 95DISP-1 nor 95WIDISP-2 is installed. With the 61-7347-1 Blank Cover installed, operator interface must either be via "Fireye Explorer" pc software, or by temporarily installing a 95DISP-1 or 95WIDISP-2.

The 95DSS3 InSight II flame scanner requires either the 95DISP-1 Display, the 95DISP-1-SS dis- play, the 95WIDISP-2 Transmitter, or the 61-7347-1 Blank Cover. Refer to bulletin CU-113 for detailed description of the 95DSS3 scanner.

105F1-1 flame scanner Fireye is a microprocessor based flame analysis device utilizing solid state flame detection sensors. The Paragon scanner provides high integrity sensing of multiple flame properties, including Amplitude, Flicker Frequency and Flame Learned vs. Stored Curve Fitting. Combinations of these measured properties are utilized to provide superb discrimina- tion in a multiple burner, multi flame application as well as monitoring of flame performance charac- teristics such as peak flame temperature.

The Paragon scanners incorporate three internal flame relays for customer BMS interface, eliminat- ing the need for a remote amplifier. Relay one signals the presence or absence of flame and responds to automatically set ON/OFF thresholds. Relay two signals internal faults as detected within the scanner by internal self diagnostics. Relay three signals flame temperature is above or below adjust- able user designated values. The flame and fault relay must be connected to the BMS to provide ade- quate safety monitoring of the flame presence. The temperature relay can be used for alarming or signaling or can be connected to the BMS for remote monitoring.

Fireye Paragon type 105F1-1 flame scanners are used to detect emissions from fossil fuel flames. These can be gaseous fuel, light petroleum distillates, diesel fuels, heavy fuel oils and a variety of coals. They are suited for application to multiple burner furnaces in utilities and pulp and paper plants, industrial application such as petrochemical, refinery and chemical production, through to industrial boilers. Flame temperature measurement can be used to monitor and report on many appli- cations including specialized burners used in applications such as Low NOx, Incineration and sulfur recovery.

The “E” versions are one second FFRT, the non-”E”ver- sions are four seconds FFRT. The Fireye 65UV5-1004QD, -1004EQD flame scanner provides an analog 4 to 20 mA output referenced to flame signal strength.

     The Fireye 65UV5 flame scanner is powered from a 24 Vdc power source provided externally and includes an integral 8 pin quick disconnect connector. A color-coded internal LED indicates flame status and alarm condition. This can be viewed through a viewing port on the rear cover.

The Fireye^® InSight^® II Type 95DSS3 flame scanners are microprocessor based flame scanners utilizing solid state infrared (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) sensors.

The Fireye InSight II flame scanners incorporate two internal flame relays with adjustable ON/OFF thresholds and two 4-20 mA analog outputs, thereby eliminating the need for a remote flame amplifier.

The Fireye InSight II scanners are powered by 24 vdc and have electronic self-checking. Model 95DSS3-1 has one 8-pin and one 12-pin electrical cable quick disconnect. During the scanner setup procedure, the amplitudes of the target flame are automatically stored by the flame scanner, together with optimum ON/OFF criteria. The appropriate sensor gain is automatically selected. Phoenix scanners incorporate full self-diagnostics and electronic self-checking.

The scanner measures the amplitude of the modulations (the flame “flicker”) that occur within the targeted flame. During the scanner set-up procedure, the modulation frequency that yields the best flame ON/OFF discrimination is selected. The appropriate modulation frequency and sensor gain can be either manually or automatically selected.
